Tollywood actor Parno Mitra is eager to do item numbers if offered and is looking forward to set the floor as well as the screen on fire whenever she gets an opportunity. Speaking to us, Parno said, "I am eager to do an item number and is surely looking forward for any such offer." Parno, who is doing a cameo in the film 'Maach Misti & More', landed up at South City shopping mall in Kolkata to shoot some sequences for the film. The 'Ranjana Ami Ar Ashbona' famed actor, who is playing the role of a college student in 'Maach Misti & More', was seen shooting with veteran Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee on Monday. Speaking about her role in the film, Parno said, "I have a very small role where I play a young girl who meets an elderly man (played by Soumitra) frequently while outing and this meeting gives the elderly man momentary relief from his daily life and anxieties." Speaking about her plans for the upcoming Durga Puja, she said, "I don't like much outing during Pujas; rather I like to stay at home." The actor said that she is going on a trip to Cochin with friends on Nabami (the ninth day of Durga Puja). When asked about the significance of the name of the film, director Mainak Bhowmik said, "Kolkata is not a city of the Bengalis only; there is much more happening here with all those cultural mix-ups. Maach (fish) and misti (sweets) are symbolic for Bengali tradition and we are portraying much more than that through the film. So the name we decided is 'Maach Misti & More'." Actor Swastika Mukherjee also shot some scenes for the film at the same location on Monday. |
